About the Client

Founded in 1964 and operating in over 31 countries, this company specialises in Fleet Leasing & Management services, with approximately 1.8 million vehicles under management. They are currently seeking an Mechanical Assistant for Fleet Management and Service work based in their Rocklea yard.

What you will be doing

You will be required to work from 8:00am - 4:00pm (Monday - Friday) in a Permanent/Full-Time role based in Rocklea. The main purpose of the role is to ensure all vehicles are appropriately cleaned, inspected and relocated/delivered within the set schedule. Your core duties will include;

• Detailing vehicles

• Carrying out 10 point safety checks e.g. oil, water, lights, tyres etc.

• Raising any concerns regarding mechanical defects and roadworthiness with the Rental Supervisor or Branch Manager

• Relocating vehicles between branches or customers when required

• Providing support to the rental team with phone and counter enquiries

• Maintaining the work environment

The ideal candidate will be someone who is happy to work autonomously, with strong customer service and basic computer skills.

What you will need

• Previous experience completing basic mechanical tasks on cars

• The ability to work with minimal Supervision

• Strong attention to detail and the ability to detail cars efficiently

• A basic understanding of the roadworthy requirements

• Strong communication skills

• Basic computer skills
