About the Role

This position will see you working for our client who are an international powerhouse in the mining industry. You will utilise your prior experience in a service desk environment to provide solutions across break-fix and escalate to support teams to ensure production availability while working toward executing planned deployments for various production systems and technology changes. This position will see you working 5 days on and 4 days off, based out of our client's head office in Brisbane CBD.

Key Accountabilities

• Proactive monitoring & event management to maintain critical production systems availability.

• Perform maintenance activities on Production Systems Technology assets that reduce failure rates and downtime of equipment.

• Safe execution of planned work to deploy Production Systems technology changes & enhancements.

• Engaging site, IROC (Integrated Remote Operations Centre) & operation stakeholders during events, incidents, changes or planned maintenance activities.

• Applying effective risk controls to identify potential threats and minimize or remove a business impact.

• Execute Service Management operational processes to drive consistent execution for the entire scope of Production Systems Operations accountabilities.

• Participate in the planning and testing of disaster recovery and IT service continuity for Production Systems applications and infrastructure.

Essential

• Commitment to Customer Service Excellence.

• Tertiary Qualification or Degree in Information Technology.

• Technical skills in operational technology in either fixed plant control systems, network, FMS, DRS or Citect - desirable

• Extensive experience with ITSM tools and methodologies (e.g. ITIL).

• Ability to work both autonomously and as a team to support operations remotely.

• IT background with proven experience in a service desk position.
