Seeking experienced Steep Terrain Mobile Plant Operators for exploration work in remote sites.
Duties:
- Use of product group objectives in terms of ensuring that the product produced is suitable in order to avoid expensive rework.
- Care and maintenance of equipment to ensure no major avoidable expense is incurred.
- Use of systems and policies to ensure the work is done in accordance with them to avoid safety and environmental impacts.
- Understanding of the mechanical workings of the equipment.
- Use of earthmoving techniques employed in the preparation and rehabilitation of the drill pads.
- Developing pads and tracks for exploration.
- Accessing permits and information relating to the job including machine guidance.
Skills and Experience:
Previous experience working within the mining industry, ideally also in an earthworks role within the mining industry
Minimum 4-5 years earthmoving experience in a similar role is essential, and a strong knowledge of earthworks practices in steep terrain (or Forestry)
Highly competent in the use of mobile plant equipment (Dozer D7 D8 D9, Excavator 30 ton and Grader 140 H & M Series).
C Class Manual Drivers Licence,
