Procurement Officer (Buyer)
Key Accountabilities
? Support the Procurement Manager develop and maintain the Project Procurement Plan;
? Assist in identifying and preparing bidder lists for assigned procurement tasks;
? Complete any Vendor qualification process in accordance Corporate, contract and project
requirements;
? Interface with the different disciplines (Technical, Planning, Legal, Insurance..) to
minimise risks on contract execution and ensure the optimization of the best effective
solutions in terms of cost and planning;
? Prepare, compile and issue Request for Quotation documentation for Vendors;
? Interface with Vendors during their preparation of the technical and commercial
proposals including the preparation of responses to any Vendor queries or qualifications;
? Prepare commercial/economic bid tabulation to compare and rank Vendor proposals;
? Lead commercial negotiations with Vendors;
Prepare and issue the final purchase order/subcontract documentation to the selected
Vendor;
Support and provide inputs to Procurement Manager for procurement reporting;
Close out bid process; and
Support and follow up purchase orders/ subcontract revisions.
Professional Qualifications
Qualification in Business / Supply Chain Management.
