Production Precast Labourer

Days & Hours of Work:

  • Monday to Friday, 7 am to 3 pm

Pay:

  • $37 per hour

Start

  • This position is estimated to start mid March

Duties:

As a Precast labourer Level 2, you will be responsible for the following tasks:

  • Operate a forklift (must possess a valid forklift license and have relevant precast/concrete experience).

  • Set up molds or forms according to specifications for pouring concrete.

  • Mix concrete ingredients manually or using machinery such as concrete mixers.

  • Pour concrete into molds or forms, ensuring even spreading and filling of all spaces.

  • Smooth and level concrete surfaces using tools like trowels, screeds, and floats.

  • Place and secure reinforcement materials such as rebar or wire mesh within concrete forms.

  • Operate heavy machinery, including cranes, forklifts, or hoists to move and position precast concrete elements.

  • Remove molds or forms from cured concrete pieces carefully to avoid damage.

  • Clean and maintain tools, equipment, and work areas to ensure safety and efficiency.

  • Inspect finished precast elements for defects or imperfections and make necessary repairs or adjustments.

  • Assist in loading, unloading, and transporting precast concrete elements to designated locations.

  • Patch and repair damaged or defective precast concrete elements.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in precast or concrete work.

  • Valid forklift license.

  • Ability to operate heavy machinery safely.

  • Strong attention to detail and quality assurance.

  • Physical fitness and ability to perform manual tasks.

  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
