About the Role:

WorkPac are currently seeking a Project Controls professional to join our client Rio Tinto, supporting the engineering and project delivery team through all stages of the project lifecycle to enable the successful implementation of engineering projects. The purpose of this role is to oversee and manage project controls and reporting systems. This includes control and monitoring of resourcing, finances, and schedules, along with facilitating the use of key management systems such as document, change, risk and quality management. The successful candidate will be based in Perth at the Central Park office, working Monday to Friday.

Key Responsibilities Will Include:

  • Facilitating the migration of the engineering drawing database to a new software platform, and update internal processes to meet requirements of the new system.

  • Ongoing management of engineering drawings and facilitating change processes

  • Supporting Project leaders with development and management of Project communication documentation

  • Assisting Project Superintendent with Monthly reporting requirements

  • Updating Project Procedures and documentation in the Project management information system (PMIS)

  • Maintenance and upkeep of the PMIS system

  • Management and upkeep of key Project reporting systems such as SAP, Primavera, and other financial systems.

Skills and Experience Required:

  • Tertiary or Diploma level qualification in relevant discipline, for example, business, engineering, or project management

  • Prior experience in a drawing office and management of engineering data

  • Sound knowledge of project management life cycle and the practices and process and procedures

  • Enhanced engagement and communication skills and the ability to influence stakeholders, working closely with them to obtain key information

  • High levels of competency using Microsoft applications including Word, Excel and PowerPoint, SharePoint and other business apps including Power BI
