About the Role:

WorkPac are seeking an experienced Civil Project Lead to oversee bulk earthworks and civil projects for Rio Tintoâs Greater Nammuldi operations. As a key member of the Sustaining Capital department, you will manage projects through their entire lifecycle. This role is based in Perth, with occasional travel to site.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Management of Sustaining Capital projects at the Greater Nammuldi mine site, typically ranging from $2M to $100M.

• Management of projects through lifecycle (pre-feasibility study, feasibility study, execution, commissioning, handover, closeout).

• Management of all project elements (cost, quality, schedule, site delivery & safety).

• Implementing QA/QC systems and processes.

• Prepare and review engineering specifications, scopes, drawings and schedules.

• Provide guidance and support to project engineers, site engineers and on-site project advisors.

• Provide progress reports and updates as required.

• Develop the project and seek endorsement at the conclusion of each project phase in accordance with the Stage Gate framework.

• Develop relationships, engage, and liaise with all stakeholders providing progress updates of engineering and construction activities in accordance with the project schedule.

Skills & Experience Required:

• Committed to deliver projects with zero harm.

• Bachelor of Civil Engineering or Trade Certificate + Project Management Training

• Experience with project management in both studies and construction.

• Technical experience in multi-disciplinary bulk earthworks and civil projects for mining, plant, and processing.

• Good understanding of Capital Approval process.

• Core project delivery skills (safety, cost, schedule, quality) developing cost estimates, managing budgets, and developing and managing schedules.

• Experience developing and managing contracts, assessing claims and dispute resolution.

• C Class Drivers Licence
