About the Role

WorkPac are seeking a Senior Project Lead - Mining Technology to join the high performing Right Size Autonomous Truck electric (RSATe) team within the Rio Tinto's Sustaining Capital division. The successful applicant will be responsible for the planning and delivery of proposed autonomous solution at the RSATe Development and Demonstration site located at Paraburdoo. Later in the program this role will also be responsible to lead a small team of Operational Readiness experts that will deliver the required artefacts to enable successful transition into the next phase of the program (deployment). Whilst this is not a technical role experience with delivering Operational Technology is highly desirable.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Input into the delivery of new autonomous mining applications

• Develop\maintain complex Project Execution Plans

• Managing project scheduling, financial forecasting and purchasing

• Assist with the drafting and reviewing of project documentation

• Develop the transition to Operation Readiness phase

Skills and Experience

• A commitment to the safety of yourself and your team

• Formal project management qualifications

• Demonstrated experience delivering complex operational technology projects

• 5 years industry experience in Mining (Operations Readiness or Production Engineering)

• A 'can do' attitude and proven ability to scope and solve problems

• Demonstrated self-motivation and the ability to work independently

• Strong Communication & Stakeholder Management skills

• Strong IT skills and understanding of Microsoft suite of programs

• Mining Production exposure with autonomous trucks, drills or dozers

• Strong Project Management skills and experience within an operational mining environment

• Experience with other Autonomous applications (Komatsu, Caterpillar etc)
