About the Role:

WorkPac are currently seeking an experienced Project Lead to join Rio Tinto's Sustaining Capital Department. The successful candidate will be working Monday to Friday in the Perth CBD with ad-hoc site travel. Flexible working arrangements including work from home options are available in this position.

Key Responsibilities will include:

Lead the development of $100M+ capital projects for works to enable mining of multiple new pits and deposit areas through feasibility studies and into implementation

Engage and coordinate with the many people and stakeholders involved in the studies to understand project requirements.

Manage and liaise with consultants and contractors to complete scopes of work, technical documentation, schedules, estimates and other deliverables for tendering and construction.

Support the studies team in completing business cases, reviews and funding applications processes.

Skills & Experience Required:

Relevant tertiary qualifications in Engineering (preferably Civil) or qualifications in project management

Track record of experience in developing capital studies and project delivery in similar field

Project management experience within a mining or heavy industrial environment

Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive and trusting relationships across a wide range of stakeholders

Understanding of cost management and control of a project budget and schedule

A current C class drivers licence
