About the Position:

WorkPac is currently searching for an energetic and driven Project Leadwho resides in the Gladstone regionto join our leading Mining Client as the Project leader for the Capital Projects owners team. You will manage the design, planning and project approval process through detailed engineering and design. You will be responsible for developing scope, budget, schedule and ensuring that design teams actively achieve works to site safety policies and project QA requirements.

Key Responsibilities Will Include:

• Manage the full project lifecycle of Capital Projects

• Negotiate and award Construction Contract

• Preparation of capital expenditure applications

• Project budget and schedule development

• Strategic planning and managing of the borrow plan to ensure adequate borrow resources through to life of facility

• Manage review process of all regulatory submissions

• Cost management and forecasting

• Collaborate with the team to ensure alignment on strategy and day to day activities

• Develop benchmarking tool for earthworks and project expenditures

• Engagement with external stakeholders and traditional owners

• Project progress reporting and working with project controls team to deliver on capital plan

Skills & Experience Required:

• 5+ Years site experience as a Project Engineer or Project Leader (Civil or Mechanical preferred)

• Demonstrated commercial experience includes planning.

• Demonstrated Experience as Part of a Team

• Strong Communication Skills,

• Project Management Qualification beneficial but not required
