About the Position:

In partnership with our leading Mining client Rio Tinto, WorkPac are currently seeking an experienced Project Manager based within Gladstone or Brisbane. This position will be Monday to Friday, (40-50 hours per week) on a casual basis.

This is a unique, challenging and extremely rewarding opportunity for a technical professional to join the Electrical Steam Generation project team at the Rio Tinto Refineries in Gladstone. The position is based in Gladstone with travel to Brisbane as required, during the working week.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Demonstrate a visible and active commitment to HSE in design and implementation

• Project management, including Design and engineering coordination, through all phase of the project from concept thought to close out.

• Assist in strategy development, and implantation, to deliver the project portfolio in line with the Rio objectives for Decarbonisation

• Coordinate, Review and liaise with professional engineering service providers, specialist consultants and third-party interface management.

• Develop project scopes for various ESP, contracting and procurement packages.

• Working with RTP to evaluate bids and progress contract award for various packages

• Developing relationships and coordinating with our plant stakeholders.

Skills and Experience:

• Experience in Decarbonisation projects

• Project management certification (PMP) or eligible to apply.

• Knowledge and experience in applying Agile project management

• Experience in Project concept development of new technologies

• Knowledge of Field Engineering, Coordination or Execution

• Experience in Process Refinery Projects.

• Possession of a current "C" class driver's licence.
