Project Manager

  • Permanent Role Based in Canning Vale

About the Role:

The primary purpose of this role is to support the Australia West business to manage, through the co-ordination of internal and some external specialists, proposals, studies and tenders through relevant Gate approvals, including supporting internal governance, tender handovers and client feedback for unsuccessful tenders. In addition, you will manage development projects for new services, from scoping and design to development of appropriate business plans and support the regional Business Development Manager with development of prospect value propositions, project delivery models and partner selections.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of multiple projects with Staff coordinator and other managers

  • Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget

  • Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant internal stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility

  • Ensure resource availability and allocation

  • Develop a detailed project plan to monitor and track progress

  • Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule, and project costs using appropriate verification techniques

  • Measure performance using appropriate project management tools and techniques

  • Report and escalate to management as needed

  • Manage the relationship with the client and relevant stakeholders

  • Perform risk management to minimize potential risks

  • Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors

  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation

  • Meet with clients to take detailed ordering briefs and clarify specific requirements of each project

  • Delegate project tasks based on junior staff members' individual strengths, skill sets, and experience levels

  • Track project performance, specifically to analyze the successful completion of short and long-term goals

  • Meet budgetary objectives and make adjustments to project constraints based on financial analysis

  • Develop comprehensive project plans to be shared with clients as well as other staff members

  • Use and continually develop leadership skills

  • Attend conferences and training as required to maintain proficiency

  • Perform other related duties as assigned

  • Develop spreadsheets, diagrams and process maps to document needs

  • Collaborate with other teams to develop and grow the business culture and team

  • Collaborate with Engineering team to design and develop customer required solutions as per customer specific Scope of works

  • Create BOM for client machines as required

Preferred Experience:

  • Engineering or relevant Trade Cert/ (Desired) 2-4 years post qualification, industry experience as an effective technical writer / course content creator, or having a diploma in Project Management Professional (PMP) / PRINCE II certification is a minimum in a relevant field.

  • Mining Technology systems and operations experience

  • Proven working experience in project management

  • Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills

  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office

  • Experience with project management software tools

  • Previous experience writing documentation and procedural materials for multiple audiences.

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail

  • Ability to travel nationally and internationally as required and work remotely

  • Knowledge of Revision control and document management.

  • Solid understanding of engineering concepts, manufacturing processes, and prototyping drawings.

  • Proficient in the Collaborative Working Environment [Microsoft Teams, Planner]
