About the Role:

WorkPac are seeking an experienced Project Officer to join our client based in Townsville on a Monday to Friday Roster. The role will provide support on planning and delivery of project works associated with risk management and remediation of abandoned mines and associated infrastructure.

Your duties in this role will be the following:

• Provide advice and support to the Project Manager on a broad range of technical issues

• Develop scopes of work and technical specifications and participate in stakeholder engagement activities

• Undertake site field inspections including trip planning, risk assessments and technical monitoring activities

• Interpret the results of technical monitoring activities and provide recommendations

• Manage contaminated land investigations

• Safely manage and oversee contractors and site activities

• Prepare briefing notes, letters, technical reports, submissions, presentations, media releases, publications, correspondence and recommendations

To be successful in this position, you will have the following experience/skills

• A relevant degree or equivalent in a technical field highly regarded (e.g. Science, Engineering, Other)

• Industry experience within mining highly regarded

• Project management qualifications and experience

• Current C-Class Drivers Licence

• Overnight travel and work away from home may be a requirement of this role
