The Service Technician is required to conduct emergency service work, strip, overhaul and repair, test and inspect Xylem and associated companies equipment, consistent with Standards and established procedures to meet customers requirements.
ACCOUNTABILITIES
? Conduct scheduled and emergency service work, strip, overhaul, repair, test and inspect UV and Ozone systems and products, consistent with Standards and established procedures to meet customers requirements
? Confined space entry to retrieve pumps where required.
? Clean, strip, overhaul customer booster sets and products and provide quotations to customers for cost of overhaul prior to completion of repairs.
? Inspect and test products prior to despatch to customers.
? Check stock, unload deliveries and check equipment received.
? Provide training to customers on new systems.
? Provide timely and accurate advice and support to staff and customers on service, workshop and product related issues both orally and in writing where required.
? Maintain all relevant documentation and reports for work undertaken, consistent with company policies and quality assurance procedures and for maintaining the workshop/vehicle so that it conforms to all necessary ESH requirements.
? Actively participate in audits for QA and EHS systems and practices.

External: Suppliers & Customers
REQUIRED SKILLS / EDUCATION / QUALIFICATIONS
A qualified trades person, preferably with some experience working in a pump or engineering environment. A current drivers license is also necessary.
Forklift license, crane operators license, confined space accreditation and electrical disconnect/reconnect accreditation are desirable.

Good attention to detail and time management skills.

Must be a good communicator, with experience working in a team.
Must be results orientated, whilst still being committed to fulfilling the requirements of Xylems Quality Assurance and Environmental Health & Safety Programs.
