About the Role:

WorkPac are currently seeking a Scheduler to join our client Rio Tinto's Rail Network Maintenance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the alignment and scheduling of all Rail Network Maintenance and Rail Network Renewal work programs. The scheduling role is fundamental in supporting the successful integration of all maintenance activities conducted on the rail network. This position is based in Tom Price, on a Monday to Friday roster. FIFO from Perth or residential options available.

Key Responsibilities Will Include:

• Accountable for the preparation and development of weekly Gantts, work packs and all documentation to successfully execute planned work

• Ensure all safety systems are in place and effective as per RTIO systems and requirements

• Ensuring all tasks are aligned to IMS and GLM obstruction rules

• Facilitating scheduling meetings and ensure they are minuted and actions are completed in a timely manner

• Completing work packs and handovers weekly

• Work through obstruction escalations and change requests

• Review opportunities to utilise spare resource 's

• Ensure signal support is confirmed by the end of T2

• Opportunistic backfill of obstruction coordinator roles as desired

• Backfill integration coordinator leave

Skills and Experience Required:

• Minimum one year scheduling or planning experience

• Advanced knowledge and understanding of work management fundamentals

• Work well in a team environment and influence people

• Read and interpret track schematics

• Proficient in Microsoft Office, HOSDI and Netpass applications

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Effectively operate under demanding situations

• Facilitate large stakeholder meetings

• Can identify key rail components

• Can work under limited supervisors and meet tight deadlines

• Understands basic execution principles for execution streams

• Previous experience utilizing a computerized Maintenance Management System (SAP experience will be highly regarded)

• "C Class"Drivers Licence
