About the Role:

We are currently looking for a Sprinkler Fitter Technician and Fire Alarm Technician. The roles will be working for a well known Fire Protection Specialist company.

Duties:

Sprinkler Fitter:

• Inspecting fire protection systems to ensure they are working properly, including sprinkler systems and smoke detectors

• Performing maintenance on fire sprinklers and other systems in order to keep them running efficiently

• Maintaining records of work performed on fire sprinkler systems to ensure that they are functioning properly

• Installing new fire sprinkler systems or repairing existing systems in homes, businesses, schools, or other structures

• Installing or repairing piping for fire sprinkling systems or sprinkler heads

• Responding to fire emergencies to operate fire suppression equipment such as fire extinguishers and fire hoses

• Inspecting buildings to determine if they meet fire code regulations and can safely be occupied by staff or students

• Working with architects and contractors to determine the best placement of fire sprinklers in new buildings

• Conducting fire drills to ensure that occupants know how to evacuate safely in case of a fire

Fire alarm technicians:

• Installing and maintaining fire alarm systems including smoke detectors, sprinkler systems, and other fire suppression equipment

• Inspecting commercial buildings for fire hazards such as blocked exits or malfunctioning equipment

• Responding to fire alarms to determine the source of the fire, whether it be smoke or a malfunctioning system

• Installing and maintaining fire alarm systems in homes and businesses, including checking batteries and smoke detectors weekly

• Responding to emergency calls to assist with firefighting operations and rescue people from burning buildings

• Responding to medical emergencies such as cardiac arrest or trauma events such as vehicle accidents

• Inspecting commercial buildings for code violations related to fire hazards such as blocked exits or malfunctioning equipment

• Maintaining records of fire alarm system activity and other fire safety measures in residential and commercial buildings

• Testing and repairing fire alarm systems and communication systems in commercial buildings

Skills and Experience:

• Current Drivers Licence

• Experience as a Sprinkler Fitter Technician or Fire Alarm Technician

• White Card

• Right To Work in Australia
