About the Role

The Business Readiness Specialist is an essential member of the project management team, crucial for ensuring the project's successful delivery and the achievement of sustainable business outcomes by addressing business and operational readiness. This role is hands-on and demands excellent execution capabilities. Serving as a vital link between the project team and operational units, the specialist is tasked with implementing the change plan (following the completion of a strategic plan) during the project's execution phase. They act as the primary liaison for operational stakeholders, overseeing training planning, execution, and delivery.

Additionally, the role involves managing some change management tasks, such as communication, stakeholder engagement, and facilitating change adoption throughout the project's execution and conclusion. The specialist also provides guidance, support, and coaching to frontline staff to aid in business and change readiness efforts. Occasional travel to various sites is required, so the ability to travel is necessary.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Evaluate product training documentation

  • Determine fit for purpose content use

  • Define training method and channel

  • Training needs analysis

  • Communications & engagement planning for Execution and Close Out Phases

  • Training plan and material refinement

  • Establish communication and engagement channels for operational stakeholders

  • Training artefacts that are easily understood by the business

  • Training delivery as and when required

  • Process review workshops as required

  • Provide advice, support and coaching to frontline team members to assist with business and change readiness activities.

  • Stakeholder Workshops participant preparation

  • Adoption Planning

  • Provide advice, support and coaching to frontline team members to assist with business and change readiness activities.

  • Facilitate engagement through a variety of channels to drive readiness activities; and identify areas of change resistance to maximise adoption of new ways of working into business as usual.

  • Ongoing assessment of the effectiveness of business readiness activities

  • Ongoing Sponsor collaboration and support to drive change adoption

  • Close collaboration with Project Manager with focus on driving people related change and manage risks

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders to ensure impacts and concerns are well understood and plans developed to address these

  • Influence key stakeholder groups across all levels to develop effective relationships that facilitate successful implementation

  • Identify people risks and issues relating to the project

Skills and Experience

  • Training or Project Certification i.e. Certificate IV Training & Assessment

  • Minimum 5 years experience in delivering training and/or change projects incl.

  • Training planning, execution and delivery

  • Engagement and communications planning

  • Demonstrated ability to gain trust and confidence of multiple stakeholders, through engagement and collaboration to influence across different levels of the organisation

  • Communication skills, including ability to facilitate workshops and presentations delivery and preparation of training material
    present complex information in an easy-to-understand way

  • Planning and organising skills in managing and executing concurrent activities/ projects with ability to set priorities and meet deadlines to ensure timely delivery of business outcomes

  • Customer focus and strong understanding of business context
