About The Client:

WorkPac is currently seeking experienced Carpenter for a major construction contract for the Rio Tinto Western Range Project at their Paraburdoo site. The project will include Greenfields & Brownfields scope with the construction of a new Run of mine pad, primary crushing facility, overland conveying circuit and modification to coarse ore stockpile and downstream, conveying system. Successful candidates will work a 3:1 roster.

What You Will Be Doing

In this role, you'll be expected to interpret construction drawings and specifications accurately, utilizing your understanding to execute tasks effectively. Proficiency in using formwork systems such as Peri, Meva, and RMD will be crucial as you construct conventional formwork according to project requirements. Your responsibilities will include marking and lining out formwork as per drawings and specifications, ensuring precision in the placement and alignment of materials. Erecting and dismantling formwork structures will require skill and attention to detail to maintain safety and efficiency on-site. Additionally, you'll be responsible for accurately installing Cast-ins such as bolts, cast-in plates, ducts, etc., within the formwork, ensuring their secure placement. Throughout the construction process, you'll play a vital role in monitoring formwork integrity during concrete pours, ensuring quality and adherence to safety standards. Assistance with steel fixing when required and overall vigilance in maintaining the stability and integrity of formwork will be essential aspects of your duties.

What You Will Need

  • Australian recognised trade certificate - Carpentry

  • Current Australian Driver's Licence

  • Elevated Work Platform (EWP)

  • Construction White Card

  • Full rights to work in Australia

  • National Police Clearance

  • Excavator ticket - desirable

  • Skid Steer ticket - desirable

  • Working at Heights - desirable

  • 3 years experience in a similar position

  • Previous experience within the mining sector will be highly advantageous
